We are proud to announce that our next research project "Dalton Culture Corner" will be soon implemented and researched in some Dalton schools worldwide. The effects will be measured during the next year.
The new pilot schools taken part in the program will be soon announced.
Scope and conditions of the program:
carried out in primary schools in English language classes. The presented innovation
includes topics on British and American culture, based on the traditional
elements of 'The Dalton Laboratory Plan', types of intelligences, different learning styles, Bloom's taxonomy stages. This innovative program is
directed to children in primary education aged 8-11.
Assignements can be implemented in the educational schedules of the schools. The project consists of five cultural topics. The
program includes ready- to- implement materials for children and lesson
descriptions for teachers.
observation of the work and involvement of program participants;
analysis of the effects of students’ assignments;
making project portfolios (portfolios are designed by International
questionnaire addressed to teachers;
interview with the teachers in Dalton pilot schools worldwide;
connecting pilot schools worldwide by the use of webcam.

We would like to share with you the photos, send by the chair of the Department of Foreign languages in Schenzhen Dalton Xinhua School Apple Ka, where our research has just started. We are currently researching the quality and effectiveness of our new method of Early Engish Teaching, based on educational Dalton pillars. We are leading the research in action, which will help us to improve the new program and implement it in more and more schools worldwide.
The new initiative of Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan, Polish Dalton Association and Dalton International
Scientific magazine, with both practical and theoretical articles. In the magazine "Dalton Inspirations" you may find practical solutions in terms of differentiation during classes. The magazine is published once in three months with the ideas of both Dutch and Polish Dalton pedagogues. In the magazine you will find the genesis of the Dalton Plan in the world, the Dalton world of Helen Parkhurst, her personal vision of alternative education accompanied by her own reflections. The reader will also become familiar with reborn of the Dalton concept in Poland and first experiences with implementing Dalton Plan in a Polish school reality. The next numbers will concern fundamental pillars of Dalton Plan in both practical and theoretical perspective.
The separate column will be devoted to Dalton International Research, which is being conducted in Austria, China, Germany, and Poland. The represenatative of Poland of Dalton International research is professor Renata Michalak from Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan, the chief editor of the "Dalton Inspirations" magazine.
